Notice Of 2024 General Election Hamilton County Canvassing Board Meetings

Notice is hereby given that meeting of the Hamilton County Canvassing Board will be held on the following dates:

  • October 16, 2024 (Wed)
    • 10:00 a.m. Public Logic & Accuracy Testing of voting equipment
  • November 5, 2024  ELECTION DAY
    • 9:00 a.m. Canvass vote by mail ballots; duplication of mail ballots if needed; process accepted mail ballots and scanning through tabulation system.
    • 6:00 p.m. Reconvene to canvass mail ballots received after initial canvassing
    • 7:00 p.m. Process and report preliminary results
  • November 8, 2024 (Fri) (time update)
    • 9:00 a.m. Canvass provisional ballot & VBM cures; Certification of 1st unofficial results
  • November 12, 2024 (Tue) (Only if recount is ordered)
    • 10:00 a.m.: Machine recount; Certification of 2nd unofficial results
  • November 13, 2024 (Wed) (Only if recount is not completed at prior meeting)
    • 10:00 a.m.: Machine recount; Certification of 2nd unofficial results
  • November 15, 2024 (Fri) (Only if manual recount is ordered)
    • 10:00 a.m.: Manual Recount
  • November 18, 2024 (Mon)
    • 10:00 a.m.: Canvass any overseas VBM ballots; Certification of official results; Randomly select race for post election audit.
  • November 20, 2024 (Wed)
    • 10:00 a.m.: Post election certification audit of voting system

Canvassing Board Members:

  • Laura Hutto, Supervisor of Elections
  • Kristy Morgan, Alternate
  • Robby Roberson, BCC, Alternate

All meetings are open to the public and will be held at the office of the Supervisor of Elections, located at the Courthouse Annex, 1153 US Hwy. 41 NW, Suite 1, Jasper, FL  32052.

Reasonable access will be granted to authorized persons to review ballot materials pursuant to Section 101.572 (2), Florida Statutes, 11/5/2024, 8:00 – 8:55 AM and 11/8/2024, 9:30 – 9:55 AM.

The Hamilton County Canvassing Board may convene at other times as deemed necessary by the Board.
